What's the difference between Arraigo Social and Arraigo Sociolaboral?+
Arraigo Social (127.c) requires a job offer OR self-employment income. Arraigo Sociolaboral (127.b) specifically requires a formal employee work contract meeting Spanish labour law standards. Sociolaboral has stricter contract requirements but doesn't need the integration report.
How do I prove 2 years of continuous residence in Spain?+
The padrón histórico (historical census certificate) from your ayuntamiento is the gold-standard proof. Supporting evidence includes utility bills in your name, bank statements with Spanish transactions, rental contracts, school enrolment for children, and Spanish medical records. Pathway parses your bank statements and highlights every Spanish transaction automatically.
What is the informe de arraigo and how do I get it?+
An informe de arraigo (integration report) is issued by your local ayuntamiento and confirms you are socially integrated in Spain. It assesses Spanish language ability, employment situation, family ties, and community involvement. Apply via your ayuntamiento's servicios sociales. Processing takes 30-60 days. Some town halls require an interview.
Can I work while my Arraigo Social application is being processed?+
Not until your application is granted. Submitting an application does not authorise work. Once granted, the resolution includes work authorisation. Processing typically takes 3-6 months at the Oficina de Extranjería.
